Tuning into and representing stones
In each constellation, ten or up to ten ancestors are tuned into and represented. There may be fewer, but there will almost never be an opportunity for more. This is done as follows: you pick up the stone, stand where the stone was lying, hold the stone in both hands, and inwardly indicate to the ancestor that he or she is welcome. Then you tune into the stone. This means that you empty your mind and see what you experience. Perhaps a certain physical sensation comes to mind, a thought, an image, a feeling. You can say aloud what you experience. There will be no discussion about this. We will keep it to what you say yourself. If you don't say anything, that's fine too. If you don't see yourself doing this yet, or if you are reluctant to do so, you can also just hold the stone and connect with it with your heart by welcoming the ancestor and giving it your attention for a moment.
Then you hand the small stone over to me, I stand where you were standing and I represent the ancestor. That is a process that takes time. I also remain in my own consciousness. Afterwards, I put the stone back. The moment I step out of the representation, the consciousness of the ancestor also leaves me, although this can take a while, especially with an ancestor who has strong emotions. I try to step out of it as quickly as possible, but sometimes I need a little time.
You may want to dwell on what has happened. You may want to move straight on to the next ancestor. That is up to you. Sometimes, from my position as representative and because I have experienced the ancestor myself from within, I can provide some additional information.
In the thematic ancestor constellation, it is predetermined which stone you will pick up next, while in the general ancestor constellation, you decide for yourself which stone you want to pick up. This is repeated until a maximum of ten stones have been tuned into and represented.
Tip: Stones
The first time I had an appointment with someone online for an ancestor ritual, this person had decided that it didn't have to be stones. She had provided wooden beads. Fortunately, there was a path with pebbles around the corner from her house, so she could get stones right away.
Why stones? Stones are very good at holding and releasing energy. Wood has less of this capacity.
